25 June 2008

Just came back from dinner with Geri today. Actually very happy to meet her, but I haven't been in the best of moods these few weeks. It's been super tedious and stressful, whether at home or at work, and my body is so exhausted. It's like a overly stretched rubber band, going to snap. Yes, cliched example, I know. But you get my drift.

My headache extended to my bloodshot eyeballs when my boss came over and stressed me out this afternoon by saying I wasn't fast enough and that I was stuck in whatever I was doing. I really wanted to ask her if she knew what the fug we were actually doing.. I have publicity matters, gifts taking, event planning, customer feedback, escalated complaints, walk-in customers (they always seem to walk in when you're at your busiest), irritating calls from customers who bug the mainline! GAH!! Not forgetting the compliments, the meetings, so on and so forth. Appeal letters, too. It's just like the feeling you get where everybody wants a piece of you and all of them, want it now! Always now, now now now. Ta ma de.

On top of that, what's worse is that I eat alot when i'm stressed, and angry too. I know that's not good. I don't know when I actually have the habit of eating when I'm stressed. Guess it just popped out of the blue when I started working. Which is, not good. Really, not good.

I bought 3 skirts today, supposed to match it with white shirts. When I came home, my maid told me that the only white shirt I have looked like it was bursting out of its seams. Wow, thanks. I can take comments, hurtful ones too. I actually thought it looked okay. But it just kinda caught me off guard, threw me into a needle bed. Sort of.

Argh. I think i'll just go to bed. I'm like, really tired. And yes, fat too. I know. I just heard someone commenting recently that in the society today, it is not a blessing to be fat (fei bu shi fu). I don't have the chinese typing program so I can't put it in. Maybe i'll cut and paste it from somewhere next time.

Lights out.

Eva.

Not very happy today.. after listening to this song, can relate to what i'm actually feeling right now.

"...Mocked by man to depths of shame little girl with life ahead..."

"...kill with her own loving heart..."

Feeling quite unhappy actually, feeling worse than pond scum...

I love this song... enjoy.

Nightwish - Eva

Eva ~ Lyrics

6:30 winter morn
Snow keeps falling, silent dawn
A rose by any other name
Eva leaves her Swanbrook home
A kindest heart which always made
Me ashamed of my own
She walks alone but not without her name

Eva flies away
Dreams the world far away
In this cruel children's game
There's no friend to call her name
Eva sails away
Dreams the world far away
The Good in her will be my sunflower field

Mocked by man to depths of shame
Little girl with life ahead
For a memory of one kind word
She would stay among the beasts
Time for one more daring dream
Before her escape, edenbeam
We kill with her own loving heart

Eva flies away
Dreams the world far away
In this cruel children's game
There's no friend to call her name
Eva sails away
Dreams the world far away
The Good in her will be my sunflower field

About Visiting Korea.

Wow, I hope I will have a good experience when I visit South Korea. I wanna go shopping there! But like what fefesrvschrist (youtube user) says, I think it's kinda rough for girls bigger than US size 8 to find clothes there, especially in Dongdaemun or those markets where you can find cheap cheap clothes! And i'm definitely way bigger than US size 8. =S

Crazy Rhythms!

Today I went to work! Imagine me working on a saturday without pay. Yes, no OT pay. So irritating right!

Anyway, I went to lunch this afternoon at Sakae with one of my colleague and his good friend, who was a very pretty indian air stewardess! lol. She sent me one song that irritates my colleague alot, so i'm might just set it as my ringtone, just to irritate the crap out of him. haha. *evil* But I think it's got quite a catchy rhythm! haha.

Nakka Mukka

He also hates crazy frog, so I might consider recording some Crazy Frog songs and setting it as my ringtone. I have totally no idea what those songs mean, but it's quite dance-y. hahaha! yay! Just to share some I find cute:

Crazy Frog - In The House

Crazy Frog - We are the champions (ding a dang dong)

haha! Are they considered techno? I don't care! It's funny! haha.

Enjoy! Woohoo!

Not happening, ok?

Hello!

I watched 'The Happening' this evening with Adeline. The Happening is not happening! hahaha. It wasn't really much a horror flick, but it shouts that we, humans, are a threat to our world! blah blah. Yes, I love the earth. I want to save the trees. But I have no choice but to print out huge loads of paper at work everyday just so my audits can audit our work right?! GAHH!

I'm going mad. Halfway during the movie, I started shivering while eating my box of Yang Chow Fried Rice. Oops, did I mention fried rice in the cinemas? hahaha. And Alice, just so you're reading this, the smell of my Yang Chow Fried Rice was not detected in the cinema. hahaha. yay!

On the train home, Adeline and I were quite tired. There was this auntie, with her Medusa hairstyle, she was pointing her finger in the train(at gawd-knows-what) at the same time her finger kept poking at Adeline.

I then put my hand behind Adeline to stop this woman from touching my dear friend; I gave her a few nasty looks too. But I guess she couldn't see very well with all those strands of badly burnt meepok-looking hair covering her parts of her eyes. At City Hall, this auntie wanted to rush out of the train, I could feel her pushing even before the train doors opened. My hand was still behind Adeline, was trying to prevent the woman from pushing my friend (cos she's so skinny and fragile, just had the male instinct to protect her. heh heh.) When the train doors opened, this auntie rushed out and I blocked her with my hands and shouted in her face to stop pushing. She looked at me and was taken aback, probably a little scared as well, cos I was already looking like KF (kung-fu) panda. I felt like I should have shouted at her more, but decided to stop cos I had to protect my image as a shu nu. haha.

I really detest people like auntie meepok leh. Everytime rush and push, like going for reincarnation like that. Very bad leh. Auntie, must change ok? Or else next time I see you, you sure kanna from me one leh. I won't give you face one ok.. hmmm.

Un-explainable Pain.

It's time, i've finally understood.

Funny how realising little facts around me can hurt me so deep. How could I have not noticed the hints that have been revolving around me for so long... it pains me.. and it's not funny.

Explanations are.. unnecessary because actions can mean alot. They can prove alot, too. I don't want to say much, but I can summarise. I'm not happy with the way things are now. I'm angry, I'm sad. Why are people lying to me? I don't like it. I hate that.

Maybe I cared too much, so much so that I'm very hurt everytime they fail me. I should stop.

I will.

2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner?

Hi! Would like to share about something I learnt sometime ago. Most people might have already known this, but if you're using 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioners, STOP! They're kinda useless and does nothing beneficial to your hair.

Check out an extract from http://www.york.ac.uk/res/sots/activities/acidtest.htm:

"Things that are neither acidic nor basic are neutral and come in the middle of the pH scale... Knowing whether something is acidic or basic can be very useful. Hair conditioner is slightly alkaline as shampoo tends to be slightly acidic, so any traces of shampoo can be neutralised by the conditioner. What does this tell you about all-in-one shampoo/conditioners?"

Actually I read this (the above, about the 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner) in a magazine while I was getting my hair done at Jean Yip Salon. =) Sidetrack: I love my new hairstylist! And his name is Nick. ^^ Really made my hair nice. Though people who have seen me in it have commented that I look a little more mature, but I secretly like it. hahaha. Thank you Nick!

Back on track, it just makes more sense to buy hair products that work in what they specialise in. Personally I like my L'oreal Elseve Pearl Shampoo and Pearl Conditioner. =) They make my hair really nice and soft. But, it still doesn't help take away my split ends. They are like never-ending! I cut them away, and next moment my hair ends split again! BAH!

I think in barely 2 weeks, I've cut up to more than an inch of split ends, and they are still haunting me! Split ends shoooo away please!

Random-ness.

Note: This post is totally full of random-ness.

Just blasted a 150 bucks on Kiehls! Oh goodness, they dont even have a sale going on, despite the national GSS (Great Singapore Sale). -_- But the salesgirl was cool, she gave me a sample of their mosturizer. I know, i know. Big deal. Yah. But at least I got something for free (kiasu syndrome).

Finally met up with Alice! So happy. =) She gave me some cards, written when she missed me. So sweet, right. haha.

I miss staying at Hyatt Hotel! (On a side note, I went with my family members to stay in Hyatt Hotel for a couple of days. No, i'm not rich. We used some hotel vouchers to exchange a very cheap rental rate.) It was a very nice and quiet place. Once you step out of the hotel, ta-dah! You reach the wonderful (and boring) streets of Orchard Road. Yay. Don't blame me, I've lived in Singapore all my life. To us, 'town' refers to Orchard Rd, Orchard Rd and only, Orchard Rd. So it's kinda boring for me, actually. I rather hang out in the outskirts (Tampines, Pasir Ris, Bedok) sometimes. But hey, Orchard Rd has all the cool shops, ya.

I dislike korean actresses. (How about all the normal looking girls! Why are they not on screen?! Why am I not on screen?! [ejecting huge waves of jealousy]) They make average looking girls like me look fugly. With their lovely pointy noses, big bright eyes, silky hair and smooth fair tofu skin, they make girls in the streets look like beggars. I dislike them. But note it, people. Fugly's becoming the new pretty. Just like white's becoming the new black. Or maybe, not so, because I still like wearing black.

Crazy Quote of the day: "Go cheetah, get banana! Hey monkey, get funky!'' (Though I don't really know what it means.)

xoxo Jank
